Our service to landowners really begins with the initial conversation. Most landowners inform us that they have received various approaches over the years from agents and developers, but they have not decided to respond. Why is this? Usually, it is because the approach is often very abrupt and direct and the language used is usually focused on the needs of the developer as well as lots of information about how large, wealthy and successful they are. This usually results in alienating the landowner and adding to their trepidation about exploring the potential to sell their land.

Our approach is very different. The language in our approach is considerate, respectful and focused on the needs of the landowner. We provide lots of useful information within our enclosed brochure which helps to answer some of the concerns that the landowner may have and leaves them feeling informed and confident that our company is approachable and supportive.

Once the landowner has felt confident enough to respond to our approach the next step is to have an initial telephone consultation with them. This is a chance for the landowner to ask us questions and explore the process further. But more importantly it is an opportunity for our team to establish the landowner’s specific needs, concerns and timescales. Too often assumptions can be made about what the best strategy is for the landowner without fully understanding their individual needs. Taking the time to really establish what is important to the landowner will enable us to provide the best advice. Landowner motivations can vary widely, be it purely achieving the very highest sale price, realising the quickest timescale, creating a legacy development to be proud of and many more.

Having then met personally with the landowner, walked their land with them and together established the best strategy to move forwards we then seek to find the best fit of developer that will provide the best chance of achieving the landowner’s goals.
